Mertons labour council seems to have no regard for the will of the people it should be serving.harris academy and Merton hall are two different issues..the local people want to keep their public hall,the council are only the custodians of John inn.es legacy..they are morally in the wrong to give it away to a private.rich religious sect like church.....the Harris academy ,which does not even have planning permission from the government could relocate to North road thereby costing council taxpayers nothing!!..or the warehouse church could go there..the site could be shared and gym facilities retained....
It will cost council taxpayers up to four million to demolish Merton hall and build a windowless warehouse..where is the logic? ordinary people are not represented by mertons elitist labour council..it's for the few who run it not the many who pay their wages!!!!! |
